Getting There

We encourage the use of public transport, with Watsons Bay serviced well with a public ferry wharf and bus stops nearby.

Car or private coach/mini-bus
There is very limited parking for cars available. There are no parking facilities for mini-buses or coaches at the Pilot Station. Please drop off and pick up outside the Pilot Station and park in Hopetoun Avenue.

Please note - the road to The Pilot Station is narrow and the turning circle small. It is not suitable for large coaches.

For arrival by road, the address for the Pilot station is 1A Marine Parade, Watsons Bay.

Train and Bus
Buses run from Bondi Junction and Edgecliff Stations, and are a quick and easy way to get to the Pilot Station. From Edgecliff Station take the 324 or 325. From Bondi Junction take the 380.

Ferry

Sydney Ferries and Captain Cook Cruises run services to Watsons Bay from Circular Quay.

Private Boat
Access by water is by far the easiest and best way to get to the Pilot Station. On arrival disembark using the pontoon and tie up securely for the duration of your visit. Please do not use the wooden steps on the south side of the wharf as they are slippery at low tide. If you intend to come by boat please advise the Centre Manager prior to your visit.
